9 startups from Orange Fab around the world joined in the third China tour organized by Orange Sourcing Consulting in Beijing. The tour started in Beijing followed by visiting Shanghai, Hangzhou, and Shenzhen in just 5 days. The startups watched, discussed, pitched in the 4 cities to learn about Chinese startup ecosystem to start business and fundraise in China.

DAY 1 Beijing
Orange Sourcing Consulting team presented overview and history of China as well as its ICT landscape in the morning. After lunch, We welcomed VCs, accelerators and crowdfunding service to learn overview of startup ecosystem in China.
DAY 2 Beijing
The tour visited InnoPlanet at Innoway, incubation center complex located in Zhongguancun in Beijing, where VCs and incubators presented their service including support for foreign startups. Also a local startup founded by foreign entrepreneur shared his experience with our startups. We also visited other places at Innoway.
In the afternoon, we had the first roadshow, a pitch event inviting VCs, CVC, accelerators, and many other guests. Each startup received many questions and advice from the guests.
We moved up to the ground floor for a meetup among startups and guests for further discussion.
Leaving guests who seemed to want to discuss more with the startups, we headed to Shanghai.
DAY 3 Shanghai
In the morning, we visited Zhangjiang Hi-Tech Park including Innopark, Alibaba Innovation Center and Pudong International Talent Hub. Following presentations from VCs, we held the Roadshow in Shanghai inviting Alibaba as a sponsor to select winners of the pitch contest. The judges select the winners as follows
The tour moved to Hangzhou with high speed train in the evening.
DAY 4 Hangzhou
The fourth day of the tour started by visit to Alibaba HQ. At Zhejiang University, the next destination in the morning, we learned how aggressively Hangzhou city is supporting startups particularly for startups from overseas backed also by Alibaba.
At the venue, following presentations by the local incubation centers and accelerator, the third Roadshow of Orange Fab Startups China Tour took place.
After the roadshow, the tour left in a hurry for the airport to move to the last destination, Shenzhen.
DAY 5 Shenzhen
Shenzhen Valley Ventures is the first place to visit, where they told us their unique service to help hardware startups to manufacture a small lot of products. We moved to Shenzhen Bay to visit several incubators and to listen to presentation by a foreign startup doing business in Shenzhen. After lunch, we held the last Roadshow with many guests including VCs and accelerators.
As a wrap-up of the tour, we discussed how we could follow up contacts and insight about Chinese market and ecosystem that the startups acquired in the tour and also how to improve the tour even more for the next year.
